ASA sent a
joint letter with the American College of Radiology and the College of American Pathologists to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and National Coordinator for Health Information Techonology David Blumenthal M.D., M.P.H. In the letter, the organizations request a meeting with the Health Information Techonology (HIT) Policy Committee to discuss considerations for anesthesiologists, pathologists and radiologists under the Electronic Health Records Incentive Programs.
