In these joint letters, ASA and other organizations acknowledge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) efforts to provide more clarity with respect to this issue. However, ASA has serious concerns with several provisions of this Proposed Rule, and points out areas of ambiguity that could lead to further confusion if the Proposed Rule is finalized as currently articulated.
