House Republicans Set Date for Vote to Repeal PPACA

Monday, January 03, 2011

The Republicans in the House of Representatives plan to vote on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This vote will occur exactly one week after the new Republican-controlled Congress is sworn in. The bill to repeal PPACA is expected to pass the House by a large margin and will fulfill a Republican campaign promise to work towards repeal of PPACA. With Democrats controlling the Senate and President Obama still in office, the full repeal of PPACA appears unlikely.
