This symposium features leading experts in the field who will present a well-balanced program in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). The course will showcase multiple unedited surgical videos introducing cutting-edge technology and procedural innovations in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic approaches in gynecology. Our program also offers one-on-one interaction with the faculty during two hands-on workshops using cadavers and pelvic trainers to enhance mastery of pelvic anatomy and performance of suturing. This course provides the ultimate learning experience for the gynecologist who desires to advance their skills in MIS.
CADAVERIC PELVIC ANATOMY WORKSHOP: A cadaveric dissection workshop in pelvic anatomy where participants will learn from expert surgeons the latest techniques in laparoscopic and robotic dissection of vital structures and spaces in the pelvis. Participants will return to their surgical practice with experience on how to perform steps such as ureterolysis and isolation of the uterine arteries that are critical in pelvic surgery.
LAPAROSCOPIC SUTURING WORKSHOP: This workshop will highlight basic and advanced suturing techniques with one-on-one instruction from expert faculty instructors. Participants will rotate through individual pelvic trainer stations to achieve mastery of intra-corporeal and extra-corporeal knot tying. Advanced techniques and instrumentation will be introduced
