of regional anesthesia, assessing new developments in the pharmaceutical management of acute pain, describe the changing role of the anesthesiologists in the operating room, appraise new technologies designed to enhance the performance of the anesthesiologists in the operating room, compare and contrast recent developments in anesthesia practice, recognize
the benefits of recent advances in anesthesia in the care of special patient populations and critique new technological advances designed
to improve the practice of anesthesia.
