Target Audience: Pain Management physicians, PM&R physicians, Orthopedic physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who have been interested in continuing their education in MSK pain procedures, diagnostics and needle guidance with the use of ultrasound. Our target audience has either attended and completed our Level 1 course, or has been using ultrasound currently in their practice. Learning Objectives: Define the principals and standards of an MSK ultrasound examination. Perform a structured MSK examination of the shoulder and carpal canal. Understand ultrasound of the sympathetic chain and perform procedures with the help of our faculty on anatomical specimens. Understand common entrapment/traumatic neuropathies and practice these strategies during the hands on portion of the course. Perform ultrasound guided MSK injections of the shoulder, hip and knee. Perform ultrasound guided spinal procedures of the lumbar spine and pelvis. Structure of Course: Our Level 2 courses are structured as a two day interactive learning experience that will include both didactic and hands on portions. Each participant will have the opportunity to work with each of our faculty members. We will be utilizing both "live" models as well as anatomical specimens.
