MGH Heart Center Fundamentals of Cardiopulmonary Bypass Course is directed primarily towards trainees in cardiothoracic surgery and anesthesia, anesthesiologists, and other individuals working in the cardiac surgical arena that are interested in strengthening their understanding of the basics and fundamentals of cardiopulmonary bypass. Attending physicians currently working in cardiac anesthesia wanting a review of the fundamentals or teaching techniques will also enjoy the course. This offering also serves as a fine basic review for attending anesthesiologists looking to update their knowledge of the subject.
The course will utilize live lectures, hands on demonstrations, and simulation to reinforce the medical knowledge, trouble shooting, and teamwork.
The cost of the course is $75.00. Breakfast will be provided both days and lunch on Saturday. Attendance is limited to 120 participants so please register at your earliest convenience.
