The OHSU Department of Anesthesiology and Oregon Anesthesiology Group (OAG) have joined together to produce simulation-based CME and MOCA® (part IV) opportunities for practicing anesthesiologists. This course is in keeping with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Maintenance of Certification guidelines.
This day-long simulation-based course leverages crisis resource management principles to provide the participant with an enriched opportunity to experience common and uncommon critical events in anesthesia practice. The faculty uses multiple teaching strategies to reinforce the concepts that have been identified as critical within the quality and patient safety movement.
The OHSU Anesthesia Simulation Service is an ASA Endorsed Simulation Program and as such part of the ASA Simulation Education Network. It is recognized for its high quality and ability to deliver simulation-based continuing education for practicing anesthesiologists.
OHSU School of Medicine, Division of CME, designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This simulation course fulfills one requirement of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA®). Please consult the ABA website, www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA® requirements.
