Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services(CMS) Issues Two Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Matters Articles of Note to ASA members
An article titled “Inappropriate Medicare Payments for Transforaminal Epidural Injection Services” addresses coverage and documentation requirements for transforaminal epidural injections. This is subsequent to a GAO report that found significant errors in the reporting and processing of claims for these procedures. The MLN article is available here.
