ASA Committee Information
There are two types of committee appointments, regular and adjunct. Regular members are elected for one year terms, and are regular members of the ASA. Adjunct members are also elected for one year terms, and may be regular or resident members of the ASA. The ASA has approximately 70 standing committees. There are opportunities for residents to sit on many of these committees as adjunct members. Committee appointments are made by the President-Elect to begin at the next Annual Meeting. So, you should still have at least one year left as a resident or fellow by the time you take your committee seat. You can check out the committee listing in the Annual Directory or on the ASA
