Anesthesiology study on anesthesia in orthopedic patients makes headlines
A study from the May issue of Anesthesiology found anesthesia type affects perioperative outcomes in orthopedic surgery patients. The study, from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, was highlighted as part of the Journal Press Release Program and was featured in Outpatient Surgery Magazine.
ASA breaks ground on new Schaumburg, Ill. headquarters
On April 27, ASA broke ground on its new headquarters in Schaumburg, Ill. The ceremony marked the start of construction on a three-story, 70,000-square-foot, highly efficient building. More than 75 individuals attended the event, including ASA leadership and staff as well as Al Larson, Schaumburg Village president, and Sendy Soto, district director at the office of Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.).
