The ASA Committee on Global Humanitarian Outreach was formed in 2009 by renaming and expanding the Overseas

Teaching Program. The GHO Committee will:

• Provide education on the global anesthesia crisis for the ASA membership

• Share opportunities for ASA members interested in volunteering to deliver anesthesia, teach and be education providers overseas

• Collaborate with like minded organizations engaged in global humanitarian outreach activities

• Assist in organizing global anesthesia outreach through an interactive website for the membership and related organizations
