Mission Details
Looking for pediatric anesthesiologists to join a cleft team for a 10 day mission. Global Smile Foundation ("GSF") team is composed of experienced volunteers who are involved with cleft care in their current practice. QA and patient safety are of prime importance. Missions are very well organized and geared for delivering the highest quality cleft care in an outreach setting with focus on patient and team safety and hands-on training of local colleagues.

Expenses: Annual support fund (tax deductible) of $1000 for first mission and $500 for any subsequent mission during the calendar year. Airfare is provided from the US along with hotel accommodation, team transportation, breakfast and lunch.

Description Global Smile Foundation (GSF) is a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation. The founding members are a group of dedicated volunteers and medical professionals who have been actively involved with global outreach programs for the last 26 years in countries in Latin America, Africa, Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. Collectively, GSF volunteers recognized the need for not just offering fragmented corrective surgical and dental procedures to patients born with cleft lip and palate deformities, but also the urgent need for implementing comprehensive care coupled with educational and preventive programs. GSF is an approved 501(C)(3) not for profit organization according to the Internal Revenue Service.
