| ASA Placement
Services Become Web-Based, Expand Options |
A long-time member benefit, the ASA Placement Service, is now
available online. This new online version has replaced the paper
version, which had previously been mailed quarterly to ASA members
at their request.
Members interested in visiting this new service on the ASA Web
site may access the site directly at <http://placement.asahq.org>
or click the “Placement” icon on the ASA homepage at
<www.asahq.org>.
The new site allows organizations with available anesthesiology
positions to complete and submit a form directly online. New postings
will be available to ASA members on the ASA Web site within 24
hours.
This online service offers searches by state, type of position
available and types of anesthesia to be performed. Other information
included in each position posting includes department composition,
source of income, acceptable certification, other pertinent requirements
and position descriptions. Interested applicants should apply
directly to the organization that has listed an available position.
