Reimbursement Policy
Aetna's anesthesia payment policies are posted here
as a convenience to ASA members, and not because ASA endorses
the Aetna policies as a whole. Aetna policies have been
changing throughout 2002. We have persuaded Aetna to make
some modifications but there are still areas of disagreement.
The company has agreed to let ASA make their policies available
for members' use in discussions with Aetna network representatives
who may not be up to date themselves.
