Advocacy Resources: The ASA Committee on Governmental Affairs has developed resources to assist members in advocating on behalf of anesthesiology. These resources including an Advocacy Guide, information on how to host a site visit with a lawmaker and information on how to be an effective advocate to Congress.

Anesthesiology Policy Research Rotation in Political Affairs: The ASA Policy Research Rotation in Political Affairs is a four-week rotation in Washington, D.C., designed to allow resident physicians to experience the political, legislative and regulatory factors that affect the delivery of patient care.

ASA Lansdale Public Policy Fellowship: This non-clinical position is designed for anesthesiologists interested in health policy issues at the federal government level. The Fellow works in an appropriate health care policy position with a member of Congress or in an executive branch office. 

CMS Supervision Rules for Nurse Anesthetists: This important document outlines the rules governing the provision of anesthesia in different medical settings.

Legislative Conference: The 2015 ASA Legislative Conference will be held from May 4 - May 6, 2015 in Washington, D.C.
