ASA
correspondence from Dr. Wood, 1932
Even when he was supposed to
be resting for the sake of his heart, Dr.
Wood was busy with his work for the Society.
In this letter to Simon Ehrlich, M.D., Dr.
Wood writes from his retreat in Maine regarding
committee appointments. In the upper left
hand corner, he urges Dr. Ehrlich to “Please
send this back corrected as I have no carbon
paper here.” Dr. Wood’s passion
for the Society and the specialty were never
dampened at any time during his life.
