• Understand how the 2008 election results may impact the way anesthesia is practiced

In addition to lectures and panel presentations, the conference offers discussion tables on Saturday evening, where attendees in small groups can discuss particular topics with conference speakers and knowledgeable leaders, as well as networking receptions.

For resident attendees (and if space permitting, general attendees), there is a separate track of presentations on Saturday focusing on basics of practice management.

Exhibitors will represent anesthesia billing and coding companies, staffing services, anesthesia information management systems, and other business consulting organizations related to anesthesia. A list of exhibiting companies will be provided on site.

Credit Hours
The American Society of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists designates this educational activity for a maximum of 21 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Conference on Practice Management registration is limited to 600 persons. Registration for the separate Certificate in Business Administration Program is limited to 150.

Priority will be given to members of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and members of the Anesthesia Administration Assembly (AAA).

Requires a separate registration fee. It is NOT included in the Conference on Practice Management registration fee.

The Conference on Practice Management registration fee includes a continental breakfast each morning, lunch on Saturday, refreshment breaks each day and two receptions.

Hotel Rooms
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Arizona Grand Resort located at 8000 S. Arizona Grand Parkway in Phoenix, Arizona. For reservations, please call the Resort at 877-800-4888. The Resort has a $10 per day resort fee that is optional for ASA attendees. The resort fee includes admittance to the on-site Oasis Water Park (seasonal) and Fitness Center, shuttle service to Arizona Mills Mall, high-speed Internet access and other amenities. Reservations will be accepted until December 30, 2008, or until the block is filled, whichever occurs first. The Resort is 7 miles from the airport.
