Why attend

Redesigning the care journey

What is INSIGHTS + INNOVATIONS? It's an exciting new conference endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists® (ASA) and designed by a group of health care professionals from a variety of disciplines. This is the ASA'S new Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH) conference and the only meeting solely dedicated to discussing PSH and what it means for the entire care team. PSH is a patient-centric, team-based model of care that emphasizes value, patient satisfaction and reduced costs.

"At INSIGHTS + INNOVATIONS (i2), we will outline the metrics and the majors that are important, give you strategies and tactics to make it work, and help you with engaging and activating patients and their families so they can help themselves before they come to the hospital for perioperative care." — Mike Schweitzer, M.D., M.B.A. Principal, Population Health Chief Medical Officer, Bundled Payments, Premier, Inc.

"All the elements of the ASA's previous PSH conference are still here; INSIGHTS + INNOVATIONS sessions now include implementation case studies in pediatrics and developing leadership teams." — Stan Stead, M.D., M.B.A. Vice President for Professional Affairs, American Society of Anesthesiologists President, Stead Health Group

At i2 you’ll learn about the PSH and how it fits into the big picture of health care reform. Visit the Connection Center—a product, service and resource showcase—to discover the latest innovations, tools and resources that will simplify and strengthen your commitment to patient-centered care and value-based payment.

"This conference puts the Perioperative Surgical Home into context with regards to the broader discussion of health care reform. We’re providing dedicated time to discover the latest innovations, tools and resources that will simplify and strengthen your commitment to patient-centered care and value-based commitment." — Stan Stead, M.D., M.B.A. Vice President for Professional Affairs, American Society of Anesthesiologists President, Stead Health Group
