Medical Student ASA Membership

Dear Potential Medical Student Member:

Thank you for your interest in the American Society of Anesthesiologists!

As a medical student, choosing your specialty can often be the most exciting and frustrating portion of your schooling. It is the intent of the ASA Medical Student Component to provide you with resources to better educate you about anesthesiology as a potential field of choice and to make the application process a little bit easier for those already set on anesthesiology as your career. A Medical Student Membership will provide you with the following benefits:

“Anesthesiology”
As a part of your membership, you will receive a subscription to the peer reviewed monthly journal of the ASA.

“ASA NEWSLETTER”
Published monthly, the ASA Newsletter contains up-to-date information on Society activities and other areas of interest.

Membership fees are $10.00 annually during medical school through your first year of residency. To apply, please fill out the membership form including the signature of your department chair and return it to the ASA. If your medical school does not have a department chair, please have an ASA physician member sign the application. If your school does not have an anesthesiology department, please use a representative from your Dean's Office.
