Medicare regulations, data and other official information
on anesthesiology now appear on a dedicated page on the
Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services' web site, http://www.cms.hhs.gov/physicians/anesthesiologist/default.asp.
The information includes the Claims Processing Manual
(formerly the Medicare Carrier Manual) section on payment
for anesthesiology services; base units and conversion
factors and CCI edits.
Ours is the first specialty to have its own page on the
CMS web site. The webmaster is interested in suggestions
for improvements, which ASA members and their administrators
are encouraged to forward to k.bierstein@asawash.org.
