AHRQ adopts Surgical Care Survey including anesthesiologist survey questions

The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) program, a public-private initiative administered by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) recently adopted the Surgical Care Survey as an official CAHPS survey. The intent is to measure the patient experience and satisfaction with their surgeon and anesthesiologists for a given procedure. The survey is the product of the American College of Surgeons and the Surgical Quality Alliance, a confederation of over twenty specialty societies, including ASA.
