HOUSE OF DELEGATES APPROVES 3 NEW STATEMENTS ON MAC, PROPOFOL AND LABELING OF MEDICATIONS

Three new statements were approved by the ASA House of Delegates on October 27, 2004:

• Distinguishing Monitored Anesthesia Care (“MAC”) From Moderate Sedation/Analgesia (Conscious Sedation)
  

• Statement on Safe Use of Propofol
  
  
• Statement on the Labeling of Pharmaceuticals for Use in Anesthesiology
