Pain Medicine

As part of its annual Doctors Day promotion, ASA distributed a video news release (VNR) on pain medicine to more than 700 television stations nationwide. The video features Carol Warfield, M.D., Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts and ASA President Neil Swissman, M.D., and addresses some of the most common myths about pain medicine.

This is the 3rd in a series of VNR's that have been produced by the ASA Committee on Communications. The others include herbal medications and office-based anesthesia.
