This program is intended for endorsed and prospective ASA simulation Programs. It will focus on identifying best practices for MOCA® courses and set future goals for the SEN. It will also allow a forum for centers to share experiences as they plan for OSCE preparation for their residents. This meeting will also address and encourage the development of young leaders in anesthesia simulation. This stand-alone one-day meeting will feature reports and lectures, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. It is designed to solicit input from endorsed programs, programs in the application process, and from Simulation Editorial Board members.
Learning Objectives:At the conclusion of this summit, participants should be able to:
• Describe the role of simulation training in maintenance of certification under ABA regulations.
• Identify the value of simulation education and develop a practice improvement plan that that includes simulation education.
• Describe the ABA OSCE process and identify ways that their simulation center can support resident preparation for the exam.
