Biomedical Engineering in the Developing World

Biomedical Engineering Capacity Building in the Developing World

The ASA GHO recognizes the importance of biomedical engineering capacity in support of advancing the quality and sophistication of anesthesia care possible in low-resource settings.  GHO has identified several groups working globally to train biomedical engineers and technicians.  These programs will benefit from volunteer biomedical engineering faculty and the donation of test equipment to be used as teaching tools.
