Mission Details
The Rwanda Teaching Program began in January 2006 as a partnership between the National University of Rwanda, CASIEF, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists Overseas Teaching Program (ASAOTP). The goal is to build capacity for anesthesia training in Rwanda so that, over time, there will be enough local staff anesthesiologists to run the program with minimal international support. Volunteer period is for one month.

Facilities
Volunteers work at two hospitals, CHUK and King Faisal Hospital, and will teach nurse anesthesia students at Kigali Health Institute.

Expenses: Expenses for airfare are reimbursed.Food is not covered.

Accomodations
Accommodation is arranged through the Faculty of Medicine NUR. The current guesthouse is a three bedroom, 2nd floor apartment in a three-story apartment block in Nyamirambo.
