  • Emery A. Rovenstine Memorial Lecture: Mentoring the Next Generation of Leaders

    In the world of physician leaders, the question often posed is, how did that person achieve his or her leadership skills and status? One of the great mentors and leaders of our specialty was Emery Andrew Rovenstine. This presentation will reflect on the unique qualities and characteristics of effective mentoring versus leadership, and the role that each of us as physicians can play in defining our next generation of great leaders.
  • John W. Severinghaus Lecture on Translational Science: The Future Starts Here, With Cues From the Past
    Speaker: Karen B. Domino, M.D., M.P.H.
    Tuesday, October 16 | 11 a.m. – Noon PT
    This lecture will link past outcome research with new methods to advance patient safety and quality research and translate findings into practice to shape the future of perioperative care.
