Lectures, Panels & Awards

Each year, FAER hosts a number of lectures, workshops and panels, and provides awards, that all serve as an extension of our core educational and research grant programs. These occur at ASA's ANESTHESIOLOGY® annual meeting, anesthesia subspecialty society meetings, regional resident conferences and other events.

Subspecialty Society Lectures and Panels

FAER partners with several anesthesiology subspecialty societies to host lectures and panels at their annual meetings.

Society for Technology in Anesthesia (STA): FAER provides funding to help host a lecture on translational medical research and entrepreneurship at the STA annual meeting.

Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP): Through an estate gift provided by Gertie Marx, MD, a pioneer in obstetric anesthesiology, FAER provides grant funding to SOAP. SOAP uses FAER funds to help host a lecture at its annual meeting. FAER and SOAP also partner to sponsor bi-annual FAER/SOAP Gertie Marx lecture at the ANESTHESIOLOGY annual meeting.

FAER has assembled a collection of resources for our virtual booth at this year’s conference. This content is available through our dedicated webpage for PRACTICE MANAGEMENT 2021 Resources.

For more information and to access this virtual event, visit the PRACTICE MANAGEMENT website.

FAER recognizes achievements in practice management research through poster awards at PRACTICE MANAGEMENT. Once poster winners for the 2021 virtual conference have been determined, a web story highlighting the winners will be published to the FAER website.
