World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists
Global open access initiative to provide quality educational content and learning objects to anesthesia educators around the world. Over 140 slideshows are available on clinical topics, management, career issues, ethics, and more. From the Stanford Anesthesia Informatics and Media Lab. Goal is to share the work being developed for educational use at Stanford and Yale Universities with the broader anesthesia community.
A web-based training site whose goal is to assist humanitarian aid workers to be effective and prepared in natural disasters and conflicts. Target audience is agencies which themselves might not have resources to mount the breadth of training programs, as well as individuals. “DisasterReady.org is a collaborative nonprofit effort informed by an advisory committee of prominent aid agencies including Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee, Project HOPE, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Mercy Corps, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), World Vision, Oxfam America, and others.” Course topics include International law, team building, conflict management, programs and operations, leadership and organizational management, and staff welfare (safety, travel, threats).
