Simulation training has become a mandatory part of education for all anesthesia training programs. The Simulation Program at Boston Children’s Hospital is the first pediatric simulation center in United States to be endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). The course fulfills one of the requirements of Part IV of the ABA MOCA Program. (Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia). Challenging scenarios for the experienced pediatric anesthesiologist as well as the general practitioner. 6-hour program takes place directly at the point of clinical care – in the operating rooms and recovery area of Boston Children’s Hospital. We offer one day immersive courses for anesthesia providers where they have the opportunity to manage a wide variety of pediatric anesthesia cases, concentrating not only on the clinical management, but also on improving their communication skills and team work. These skills are vital for safe and optimal patient care.
