Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine and the Boston Children’s Hospital Simulator Program are proud to offer one-day Pediatric MOCA Simulation courses in crisis management devoted to pediatric anesthesia. Simulation training has become a mandatory part of education for all anesthesia training programs. The Simulation Program at Boston Children’s Hospital is the first pediatric simulation center in United States to be endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). The course fulfills one of the requirements of Part IV of the ABA MOCA Program. (Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia) We offer one day immersive courses for anesthesia providers where they have the opportunity to manage a wide variety of pediatric anesthesia cases, concentrating not only on the clinical management, but also on improving their communication skills and team work. These skills are vital for safe and optimal patient care.
