The format of the course will be a live, participatory event. After an introduction to the simulation space, learners will be given a clinical scenario in the simulated OR, using a high-fidelity manikin. Participants will respond to critical events individually and as teams. Following the scenarios, structured debriefing will be led by faculty experts. The course will allow participants to reflect on their performance and discuss ways they can improve their practice in the future. The course is not pass/fail, but active participation in managing simulated patients and group discussion is required. (seven AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.)
