About ASA Components
Because of the critical importance of state legislative issues, grassroots involvement and related practice concerns, ASA membership is contingent on membership in a component society (ASA Bylaws, Section 3.00; members located outside the US are exempt from this requirement). Components are separate nonprofit organizations, chartered by the ASA. The application that you complete for ASA is also used for component membership. You will be contacted by the component and receive a dues statement from both the ASA and your component society. You should join the component where you conduct your principle practice. If you are a former member of the ASA you can rejoin by contacting ASA's member services department by phone at (630) 912-2552 and toll free: (844) 403-0896, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are currently Active Duty United States Military, be sure to mention this in you call or email.
