Are you MACRA Ready?
Physician anesthesiologists and their practices looking at reporting solutions for 2017 will continue to find the Anesthesia Quality Institute’s National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) well positioned to meet their needs. AQI NACOR submitted a self-nomination to continue its designation as a Qualified Registry (QR) and a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) for practices participating in the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) Quality Payment Program in 2017.
What can I do now to help prepare?
- Learn more about MACRA by visiting ASA MACRA and CMS MACRA Resources webpages
- Consider the various reporting options (QR or QCDR, individual or GPRO)
- Review the available MIPS measures for 2017 and begin collecting data on those measures immediately
- Ensure that your file submissions will meet AQI’s 2017 XML format. Watch the AQI website and listserv messages for more information and highlights of changes.

Participation in the ASA® Quality Reporting Service does not guarantee satisfactory participation in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) program. Successful submission to CMS is contingent upon each individual eligible provider (EP) and/or practice meeting the PQRS program requirements and the timeliness, quality, and accuracy of the data they provide for reporting.
