Breakfast Panels to Present a Diversity of Topics

John R. Moyers, M.D., Vice-Chair
Section on Annual Meeting

The Breakfast Panels are an important and informative part of the ASA Annual Meeting due to the commitment and expertise of those involved in their planning and presentation.

Each of nine subspecialty groups in anesthesiology will again present the Breakfast Panels as part of the 1997 ASA Annual Meeting in San Diego. These diverse subspecialty groups will cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to the anesthesiologist, ranging from patient management issues to the use of the Internet. This extensive range of subjects will be discussed by many outstanding speakers from the subspecialty societies.

The ASA Committee on Anesthesia Subspecialties, which acted as liaison with the subspecialty societies during the formation of the program, should be recognized for their invaluable assistance. The committee is composed of John G. Poulos, M.D., Chair, David L. Brown, M.D., Alan W. Grogono, M.D., Charles H. Lockhart, M.D., Roger A. Moore, M.D., L. Charles Novak, M.D., Susan K. Palmer, M.D., Sujit K. Pandit, M.D., David S. Smith, M.D., and Jeffery S. Vender, M.D. Similarly, the presidents and the program chairs of the nine subspecialty societies represented in this year's program should be commended for the quality of the topics and speakers.

Breakfast Panels will be scheduled at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on Monday through Wednesday, October 20-22.
