Special Airline Arrangements, Car Rentals Offered

Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and the International Travel Service (ITS), in cooperation with ASA, have made special arrangements to offer Annual Meeting participants discount air fares for the 2003 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California.

Both United Airlines and Delta Air Lines will offer a 10-percent discount on unrestricted coach fares or a 5-percent discount on the lowest applicable fares, including first-class tickets. An additional 5 percent will be added to the above discounts if tickets are purchased 60 days in advance on Delta and 30 days on advance on United.

In some cases, the discounts allowed by Delta and United may not be the most economical fare, depending on the routing and special promotion fares available. Delta and United will confirm the lowest rates at the time reservations are made. If you normally use the services of a travel agent, your agent may place your reservations through a toll-free number to obtain the same discount.

For reservations and information, call Delta Air Lines toll-free: (800) 241-6760, mentioning account number 196616A. Call United Airlines toll-free: (800) 521-4041, mentioning account number 502ZR. Telephone ITS toll-free: (800) 621-1083. When making reservations, mention that you will be attending the ASA Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

Rental cars are available at reduced rates through Avis Rent-a-Car and Budget Rent-a-Car. For Avis, call toll-free: (800) 331-1600 and mention AWD number J096028. For Budget, call toll-free: (800) 772-3773 and mention BCD number U063642. Discounted rates are extended for car rentals one week before to one week after the ASA Annual Meeting dates.

When making your reservations, please mention that you are attending the ASA Annual Meeting on October 11-15 to receive the special reduced rates.
