We are pleased to have as Master of Ceremonies, Peter L. McDermott, M.D., Ph.D. The evening’s lively entertainment by The Second City comedy troupe will be the highlight of the festivities. The Second City, known for its improvisational comedy, is based in Chicago with troupes in Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. The troupe has bragging rights to a long list of famous alumni, including Dan Aykroyd, Alan Alda, John Belushi, John Candy, Chris Farley, Shelly Long, Gilda Radner, Martin Short, George Wendt, and even the voice of Homer Simpson, Dan Castellaneta. Many enjoyed The Second City’s influence in the mid-1970s when several of its Chicago alumni starred in the late night television program “Saturday Night Live.”

Thank you to everyone for your support of ASA and its foundations through your participation in the Gala and also the centennial campaign.
