he annual meeting of the Oklahoma Society of Anesthesiologists was held on August 26-27 2006, at the Four Seasons Resort, Las Colinas, Texas. Mark J. Lema, M.D, Ph.D, ASA President-Elect, and Marc A. Rozner, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Anesthesiology, University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, gave lectures.

Dr. Lema gave two lectures: “Perioperative Analgesia: Can It Reduce Chronic Pain?” and an “ASA Update.”

Dr. Rozner’s topics were: “Preoperative Stress Test: Indications and Interpretations” and “Controversies in the Perioperative Management of the Patient With a Pacemaker or Implanted Defibrillator.”
