Committee on Scientific and Educational Exhibits
has announced the winners for the ASA 2006 Annual
Meeting held October 14-18 in Chicago. Fifty-seven
scientific and educational exhibits were displayed.
The winners were:
First Place:

York: “Ginny’s and Ernie’s Guide
to Pediatric Anesthesia at Morgan Stanley Children’s
Hospital of New York (CHONY).”
Second Place:
Federico G. Osorio, M.D., Mauricio A. Perilla,
M.D., John Doyle, M.D., Ph.D., Juan M. Palomo,
D.D.S., M.D., Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio:
“Use of Digital ConeBeam X-Ray Technology
as an Innovative Tool for Clinical Airway Assessment.”
Third Place:
Santhanam Suresh, M.D., F.A.A.P., Narasimhan Jagannathan,
M.D., Dawn O. Belvis, M.D., Lisa E. Sohn, M.D.,
Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois:
“Head and Neck Blocks in Children: An Anatomical
and Video-Assisted Modality for Teaching Their
Use in Routine Practice.”
Scientific and clinical value, originality, creativity
and the quality of the presentation are considered
when judging the awards. The committee thanks all
those who took the time to develop and present their
exhibits.
