About This Meeting

The Anesthesia Quality and Patient Safety Meeting 2023 focuses on key themes in quality improvement, patient safety, team collaboration, and wellness. The meeting includes renowned practitioners who are passionate about ensuring safe care before, during, and after surgery. The program offers attendees a variety of perspectives on quality and patient safety topics with time for Q&As with experts and roundtable discussions. Attendees can also participate in Safe Tables, which provides a legally protected environment for attendees to discuss actual patient safety events and to share solutions and best practices.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:

• Recognize opportunities and steps to identify patient safety dangers and address risks.
• Describe mechanisms to better use or track performance measures to improve their quality of care.
• Identify tactics to effectively collaborate with their perioperative team to optimize patient safety and outcomes, thus improving the value of care delivered.  
• Use quality data to demonstrate value, assess health equity, leverage justification for payment, and/or subsidy for your anesthesia practice.
• Identify aspects of a culture of safety and keys to physician wellness.
