Presented by HemoSonics HemoSonics Quantra represents the next generation of viscoelastic testing (VET) for managing perioperative bleeding. This workshop will demonstrate how Quantra enhances bleeding management at the point-of-care providing rapid results, easy interpretation for clear therapeutic guidance.  There will be a general overview, case examples and live whole blood testing.
 
2:30 - 4 p.m. POCUS and Advanced Regional Anesthesiology Techniques Workshop for Residents and Fellows Stephen Haskins, MD, HSS

Presented by ASA This session is designed to welcome trainees (residents and fellows) to advanced regional anesthesia and point of care ultrasound utilizing hands on ultrasonography with standardized patients. The workshop will be divided into two tracks that each attendee will rotate through, regional anesthesia and POCUS. To engage the learner and maximize educational value, the class will utilize a flipped class model with each registrant being provided reading materials and supplementary videos on the topics 2 weeks prior to the session.
