On-site Registration Information

Full-service registration for ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2017 will be located at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) - Exhibit Level (East Registration Lobby). Express Registration will be available for attendees to find their registration and self-print their badge and registration documents. Our check-in and badge printing systems are robust enough to handle even the most demanding check-in rush and work with or without and internet connection.

Express Satellite-Registration (express badge pick-up ONLY) will be located at the following locations starting at Noon on Friday, October 20 (Note: locations subject to change):

Registration Materials

All registration materials and name badges are provided at the time of badge pickup. Registration materials will only be provided at the convention center and not at the hotel satellite registration areas. Speakers/presenters should pick up their badges in the Presenter Ready Room (052B), located at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC).

Admission Requirements

(Badges are required)
Admission to non-ticketed activities (all available on a first-come, first-served basis), including the Opening Session, Welcome Reception, Panels, Special Lectures, Medically Challenging Cases (MCCs) and Refresher Course Lectures (RCLs), Scientific Abstracts and exhibits will be granted by the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2017 attendee badge only. Admission to ticketed functions, including Problem-Based Learning Discussions (PBLDs), Workshops, activities and special events will require both the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2017 attendee badge and a ticket.

Tickets and Name Badges

All registrants for ANESTHESIOLOGY 2017 will receive a name badge. Materials will not be mailed in advance. Badges and tickets can be obtained at self-print kiosks (pre-registrants only) or at the registration counters (all registrants) during registration hours.

If you have pre-registered for the meeting, please visit the advance registration desk or use the self-print registration kiosks to receive your registration materials. Once registration materials have been picked up, please visit an on-site registration desk to make any changes or to register for additional courses.

Ticket Refunds/Exchanges

No refunds or exchanges are allowed after Monday, September 18. If you purchase tickets at the meeting, please check them carefully before you leave the ticket sales counter.

Shuttle Transportation

ANESTHESIOLOGY 2017 provides complimentary shuttle bus service between officially contracted hotels and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) located at 415 Summer St., Boston, MA.


While central Boston is small and compact, travel time throughout the city can take longer than anticipated due to the complex network of narrow roadways, one way streets and time-based traffic restrictions. 


Plan extra travel time between your hotel and the BCEC.


Cancellation Deadline: Monday, September 18, 2017.

Policy: Refunds for paid registrations are issued if written requests are postmarked/faxed/e-mailed on or prior to deadline. Requests received after September 18, 2017 cannot be processed. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the meeting's conclusion.

Cancellations postmarked, faxed or e-mailed by the post office or received by fax on or before Monday, September 18, 2017, will incur a 20% cancellation fee. The fee is calculated on the total amount collected during registration.

No Refunds: Cancellations (paid registrations) postmarked or received by fax or e-mails after Monday, September 18, 2017 are not eligible for refunds and requests cannot be processed. No refunds will be given for no-shows.

Non-Transferrable: Registration or ticketed sessions cannot be transferred to another attendee.

ASA is not responsible for airline tickets, hotel accommodation or other travel arrangements purchased for attendance at this meeting. We recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance, in the unlikely event that unforeseen circumstances affect the meeting or your travel plans.
