MCAT Pathway Program Application

Applications for the 2024 cycle are no longer being accepted.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Committee on Professional Diversity (CPD) offers undergraduate students with an interest in the field of anesthesiology to apply for the MCAT Pathway Program. Awardees will receive support through ASA valued at $3,000 to participate in an MCAT preparation course through MIMTM.

This rigorous (virtual) curriculum is focused on increasing the competitiveness of participants for admission to medical school through a culturally sensitive holistic program, which includes important learning strategies, test taking skills, content tutors, social emotional skill building, and more. Participants will meet weekly from September / October through May of the following year.

Prerequisites include:

  • Are US residents/citizens
  • Have financial need and are underrepresented in medicine (URiM)
  • Are planning a new or reapplication to medical school
  • Enrolled in or have taken required pre-med courses, including biochemistry and physics

Undergraduate students who are selected to formally apply to MIM with funding from ASA for the 2024 application cycle will be notified by July 2024.
