ASA President Mary Dale Peterson, MD, MSHCA, FACHE, FASA, was interviewed by WRC-TV (NBC) in Washington, D.C., and Crain’s NY on Medicare’s proposed drastic cuts to its payment rates for important health services. “Hospitals that have a higher Medicare payer mix will have to figure out a way to cut corners with decreased staffing, which we believe will affect the quality of care to seniors in the U.S.,” Dr. Peterson told WRC-TV.
