New approach to prescription opioid management makes news

Clinical Pain Advisor, Crain’s Chicago Business, and Pain News Network detailed an article published Online First in Anesthesiology, where Editor-in-Chief Evan D. Kharasch, M.D., Ph.D., Editor J. David Clark, M.D., Ph.D., and former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams, M.D., M.P.H., introduced their new prescription opioid system to combat the opioid crisis. “We need a multifaceted approach, with prescribers, patients, pharmacists, insurance companies, health care institutions, legislators, and regulators, all working together towards a common goal.
