CHICAGO – The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) today announced U.S. Anesthesia Partners, Inc. (USAP) has joined ASA’s Group Practice Supporter Program to collaborate closely with the Society’s more than 60,000 anesthesiologists. USAP will contribute practice-management education and thought leadership that strengthens operational efficiency, enables improved patient outcomes, and helps forge a sustainable future for the specialty of anesthesia.
From workforce planning and anesthesia staffing best practices to efficient coding, billing, and managing operational complexity across inpatient and ambulatory settings, USAP’s support will help advance innovative solutions in key areas of practice management.
“We are excited to welcome back USAP as a Group Practice Supporter,” said ASA President Patrick Giam, M.D., FASA. “USAP is a leader in the field, and we share a vested interest in bringing ASA’s members greater awareness of the unique value both large and small group practice models provide in today’s competitive healthcare landscape. Their support has included participation at ADVANCE: The Anesthesiology Business Event and will include ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2026 in San Diego.”
Launched in 2025, the ASA Group Practice Supporter Program strengthens collaboration between the Society and anesthesia group practices delivering care across the country. The initiative creates opportunities for these organizations to share operational expertise, contribute thought leadership and engage with the ASA on the evolving challenges of current anesthesiology practice. By elevating these perspectives, ASA reinforces the critical role group practices play in advancing safe, high-quality patient care.
“USAP is proud to collaborate with the American Society of Anesthesiologists through the Group Practice Supporter Program,” said USAP President Matt Maloney, M.D., FASA. “As an organization focused on clinical innovation and extraordinary patient care, we have seen how investments in anesthesiology, quality improvement and clinician development can advance care for patients and strengthen the health systems we serve. By working alongside ASA and its members, we look forward to contributing our operational and clinical expertise to help advance sustainable practice models, strengthen the anesthesia workforce, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.”
