On January 31, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) released the filing results for calendar year 2010. According to these filings, ASAPAC out-raised all other physician PACs. ASAPAC raised a total of $1.56 million in calendar year 2010, solidifying ASAPAC's position as America's largest physician PAC, out-raising even the AMA's PAC.
ASAPAC raised a total of $3.2 million dollars for the 2009-2010 Election Cycle, a new record! The PAC also garnered the 43rd position among the nation's over 3,000 association and corporate PACs.
Jeff Mueller, M.D., Chair, ASAPAC Executive Board said Monday, "The hard work and dedication of ASAPAC Representatives and donors led ASAPAC to once again be the top physician health care PAC in America. Only through unified support of ASAPAC will we continue to raise the profile of anesthesiology within the highly competitive environment of Congressional politics."
