Senate Confirms VA Secretary

The Senate has voted to confirm former Procter & Gamble CEO Robert McDonald as the next Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA).  ASA congratulates Robert McDonald, and looks forward to continuing to work with him and other officials at VA on the proposed Nursing Handbook, which would remove physician-led anesthesia care in VA and threaten patient safety.
