Two Wisconsin physician anesthesiologists were recently appointed to their state medical board. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) appointed Padmaja Doniparthi M.D. in February and Alaa A. Abd-Elsayed, M.D., M.P.H. in March to the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
Dr. Doniparthi is serving her first appointment to the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board. She graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Doniparthi then completed a fellowship in pain management at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She works in Waukesha, WI and specializes in anesthesiology and pain management. Dr. Doniparthi is affiliated with Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She joins a 13-member team of physicians and public members serving on the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
Dr. Alaa Abd-Elsayed is an active ASA member who is serving in his first appointment to a state medical board. Currently, he serves as Medical Director at the University of Wisconsin Health Pain Services and as Medical Director at the University of Wisconsin Pain Clinic. Dr. Abd-Elsayed received his medical training at Assiut University Medical School in Egypt, completed a master’s degree in Public Health, research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, residency in anesthesiology and pain medicine fellowship at University of Cincinnati.
